Planning for a long road trip, and the opportunity came on 2014 Durga puja. The hotel was booked in advance. And finally the day came, it was 2nd Oct. My seven years old but reliable Alto was ready for the trip.
The plan was that we will go to my home town Kharagupr, spend the night with friends and start the journey from the very next morning. The return plan was that before reaching to Kolkata we will halt Kharagpur for night stay. Our trip route is Kolkata-Kharagpur-Rambha-Araku-Vizag-Gopalpur-Kharagpur-Kolkata, approx 2500 km
All the luggage are put on the boot space and we are ready to go from Kolkata

Reached Kharagpur on 2nd Oct, and spend the night with friend, next day early morning my car hit the road. The destination is Rambha, OTDC resort.
Currently the road between Kharagpur and Balasore has many diversions and driving is tedious till Balasore. We stopped by some unknown hotel to have breakfast. Note that petrol price is cheaper in Orrisa than West Bengal by Rs 6, so fill up your car accordingly. I had a bad experience on one of such refills at Orissa during my return trip, will share details later.

It took almost three hours to reach rambha from Bhubeneswar. The road condition is very good.

Rambha OTDC has TT, Carom and Library, and a beer pub too.
We checkout Rambha on 5th morning, the destination is Araku APTDC Mayuree hotel. It took almost 5 hours to reach there. Pls note that we use Google map for the navigation, and surprised that almost all the Google instructions are correct. We hardly asked bystanders for direction.
